Bayer will participate in the XXXII Aapresid Congress, which will be held from August 7 to 9 at La Rural, Buenos Aires Fairgrounds. This time, Bayer will have a space for connecting and interacting with its customers, sharing information and updates on its comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed for crops, highlighting its main brands, including Dekalb, FieldView, Adengo, and ProCarbono. For the first time this year, the event, which traditionally takes place in Rosario, will move to the Argentine capital under the theme “Everything is connected.” Bayer is preparing an active presence at the Congress with three talks addressing key current topics for sustainable agriculture and efficient crop management.
Bayer’s Proposals
- August 7, 11:15 AM: Maximiliano Cueto, Product Leader for Corn and Crop Protection at Bayer, and Federico Vartorelli, Global Director of Breeding and Customer Technologies at Bayer Crop Science, will participate in the panel: “Facing Stunting and Other Challenges, How to Keep Thinking About Corn Cultivation?” In this talk, they will address the challenge of corn leafhopper and the comprehensive strategies needed to confront it, highlighting the strategic role played by germplasm, environment, and management.
- August 8, 11:15 AM: Juan Farinati, President and CEO of Bayer Cono Sur, will be part of one of the panels in this year’s International section: “Carbon Harvest: Advancing Sustainable Agriculture in the Americas.” Alongside the executive, distinguished specialists, including Professor Rattan Lal, 2020 World Food Prize Laureate, co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, and leading global authority on soil science; Beatriz Giraudo, Vice President of INTA; and the current President of Aapresid, Marcelo Torres, will present. From diverse perspectives, they will analyze key topics on soil, carbon, and sustainable agriculture.
- August 8, 11:15 AM: Various leaders and specialists will speak in the session titled “Enhancing Regenerative Agriculture, Science, Carbon, and Digitalization,” showcasing results, resources, and practices that confirm sustainable production is possible. The panel will include Pablo Leguizamón, Operations Leader for Carbon Business at Bayer Cono Sur; Galo Benedit, Technical Manager for Carbon at Bayer LATAM; Miguel Ángel Taboada, Director of Carbon Group Agro-climatic Solutions SRL; Rodolfo Bongiovanni, Project Coordinator at INTA; and Leticia Tuninetti, Life Cycle Analyst at INTI.
